There is nothing better than supporting local talent, and Vancouver’s Shore 104 has it covered with their Best of BC contest. Every month, an emerging artist from beautiful British Columbia will be chosen from a panel of judges from the station and receive a cash prize of $10,000 – in addition to being featured significantly on-air and online at Shore 104. More importantly, the contest is intended to support the growth and development of the artist.
June’s winner, The Simpson Brothers, currently have their song ‘Diamonds’ on heavy rotation on the station. You might recognize Rich and Rob Simpson from CBC’s “Cover Me Canada” competition, where they covered the popular songs of other artists. As it is important for any artist, it’s The Simpson Brother’s time to shine.
